Joanne has recently been working with Stewart Milne Homes in Aberdeen giving presentations and running workshops to assist them with Delivering Successful Landscapes in line with their Design Excellence Quality Manual. The seminars & workshops have raised awareness of typical landscape implementation problems that can be resolved on site.
Over the last 6 months, Brindley are increasingly being appointed to carry out pre-start meetings, site inspections & snagging reports to ensure our clients receive ‘best value’. Brindley have also reviewed and updated all their planting notes, maintenance & management proposals and produced a library of typical planting details all in line with current best practice.
Congratulations to our Scott Cochran who passed his Pathway to Chartership exam in November and is now a fully Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. Scott, who was mentored by Jane & Joanne, has been working with Brindley for over 4 years and is a valuable member of our LVIA team. Brindley encourages staff to achieve their very best in their chosen field and this year we are looking to mentor another 3 staff on the Pathway to Chartership.
Welcome to Lee Houghton, an experienced landscape architect with over 20 years of experience in both public & private sector. Lee has recently joined us to support both our LVIA & Design team whilst Bee is on maternity leave.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ecological Project Manager, Troy Paterson. As part of the design team on this £333m strategic infrastructure project for development partners Henry Boot & Aberdeen City Council, Brindley provided a comprehensive suite of ES co-ordination, environmental consultancy & landscape masterplanning services in support of the successful planning application. We are now appointed to provide landscape design services for the extensive public realm areas in a challenging location adjacent to the city’s airport.
We were delighted that our client received planning consent at the end of 2015 for one of the largest planning approved developments of its type in Scotland.
